It’s the weekend again! Another workweek has passed, and now it’s time to unwind and relax. Weekends are the perfect opportunity to find something you are passionate about and make a hobby around it. You can even turn it into a living if you want. Brian Johnson asks a question, “What would you do on a Saturday morning?” That could be a great question to find out something that you love doing.

As we grow older, we forget what we used to do and what we used to love. Looking back and reflecting on how we spent our Saturdays when we were younger can help us rediscover our passion. I remember walking in the park nearby when we were younger, hanging out in school playing basketball, or going to the mall. But the thing I miss most doing on Saturdays is listening to The Beatles on the AM Radio. There was this show every Saturday where they played Beatles songs exclusively, sometimes they would throw in the individual song of either John, Paul, George, or Ringo. They also had some trivia to go along with it.

Listening to The Beatles got me started to like music and playing instruments. When I started learning to play the guitar, there were no YouTube videos to check on then. We relied on Jingle Song hits or from friends who already knew the chords and how to play them. I had to build the calluses on my fingertips to be able to play and fret better.

When I learned piano, I realized that I could play the same songs as long as I knew the chords. I learned mostly from books and song hits, I would frequent the bookstores at the malls trying to memorize the chords so I can play my favorite songs. Nowadays, aside from YouTube videos, there are also online courses and paid tutorials on the internet. It’s much easier to learn and practice the songs as long as you have the internet wherever you are. You can get lost in a rabbit hole of tutorials on YouTube when you start searching for piano how-tos.

One of the best things about playing a musical instrument is the sense of satisfaction that comes from being able to play your favorite songs. At first, it may seem difficult, but with practice and perseverance, it becomes easier. Learning to play an instrument not only entertains you but also helps you express your emotions. Music can be a powerful tool for stress relief and relaxation.

Nowadays, there are countless ways to learn to play an instrument, regardless of whether you want to learn the piano, guitar, drums, or any other instrument. There are online courses, paid tutorials, and YouTube videos that can help you get started. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to get started, either. Many instruments can be rented or borrowed from friends or family.

In addition to learning to play an instrument, there are plenty of other hobbies you can pursue. You might try painting, writing, or cooking. The key is to find something that you enjoy doing and that you can do regularly. Hobbies can help you relax, reduce stress, and improve your mental health.

If you don’t have a hobby or passion, don’t worry. It’s never too late to start. You can learn anything you want, as long as you have the right resources. Whether you need people, time, place, or money, there are ways to find what you need to pursue your passion.

In conclusion, weekends are a great opportunity to find your passion and make a hobby around it. Whether you love playing music, painting, writing, or cooking, there are countless ways to pursue your interests. So take some time this weekend to rediscover what you love doing.

Have a great weekend!
