“Engage Your Audience with Story-Based Emails”
Hello again! So now that we know why storytelling is so important in creating that engaging content in your emails. How do we put that into action?
One way of easily doing that is through frameworks.
There are a lot of frameworks available out there. Some of which you might already be familiar with: AIDA, PAS, and HSO.
For this example, I will use the News email framework. Here’s what it looks like
- State a recent/relevant news
- State the details
- Why does this matter?
- State your point
- Relate to your product
- Call-To-Action
For this example, I’ll be promoting Soul Remedy’s in-person therapy, coaching, and experiential training service.
Here’s what the email looks like:
Subject: Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Power of Positive Thinking
Dear [Name],
Have you heard about the recent comments from NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo?
After his team, the Milwaukee Bucks, were eliminated from the playoffs, Antetokounmpo was asked if he considered the season a “failure.”
Instead of dwelling on the loss, the athlete gave a positive response that’s been drawing praise.
Antetokounmpo spoke about how there’s no failure in sports, only good and bad days, and that every unsuccessful attempt is just a step towards success.
He used the analogy of a job promotion to explain that not achieving a goal doesn’t necessarily mean that someone has failed.
Antetokounmpo’s comments have struck a chord with people and shown the power of positive thinking.
