“Building Greatness, Rome’s Way”
Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to tackle the week ahead.
Over the weekend, I stumbled upon some intriguing trends on the internet, one of which revolved around the fascinating Roman Empire.
In case you missed it, a woman asked her boyfriend how often he thinks about the Roman Empire. As someone who’s deeply fascinated by Stoicism, I realized that I think about this ancient empire daily.
But this curiosity led me to ponder something even more significant: the enduring impact of the Roman Empire on our modern world.
There are a lot of things in society today that have been influenced by this ancient empire.
Think about it — the Roman numerals, the concept of being a global citizen, the senate, the thrill of gladiator games, and the awe-inspiring Colosseum and even the Roman army.
The list is long but that’s only because this ancient powerhouse left its fingerprints all over our world today.
There’s even a great quote about it “Rome was not built in a day.”
This is a great thing to remember on this Monday — a day when we often face the daunting tasks of the week ahead.
Great things take time to build, and if we work hard, love our craft, and be patient, maybe someday, we’ll be able to build something that will influence and help the later generations.
Let’s march into this week with the determination of a Roman legionnaire!
Wishing you a great week ahead!
